About Todd Road Jail

Todd Road Jail opened in 1995 in the unincorporated farmland west of Santa Paula, and marked its 30th anniversary in 2025. With a state-rated capacity of 796, it houses most of the county’s women and many men after they are booked elsewhere.

It is also the support hub for the jail system: inmate services, the kitchen, the laundry and the commissary all run from here. A new health and programming unit opened in 2023.

Nobody is booked at Todd Road. People arrive from the Main Jail in Ventura, about 6 miles away, or the East Valley Jail.
