About the Solvang station

The Solvang station at 1745 Mission Drive covers about 400 square miles of the Santa Ynez Valley: the City of Solvang, which contracts with the Sheriff for police, and the communities of Santa Ynez, Los Olivos and Ballard.

The station’s holding cell is closed, so arrests go to the Northern Branch Jail in Santa Maria, about 30 miles away. The courtroom in the same building at 1745 Mission Drive is vacant; since October 2014 the valley’s cases have been filed in Lompoc.
