About the Cerritos Station
Cerritos became a city in 1956 under the name Dairy Valley and took the name Cerritos in 1967. It has contracted with the Sheriff’s Department since 1956, the second city in the county to do so.
The current station, also called the Cerritos Community Safety Center, opened in 1997 next to Cerritos City Hall. The city’s Community Safety Division works from the same building.
