Santa Barbara County bail schedule

About Santa Maria

Santa Maria is the county’s largest city by population and the center of North County. Its police headquarters is on West Betteravia Road, and the county’s Northern Branch Jail opened on Black Road in 2022, about 4 miles from the city center.

Before that jail opened, North County arrests were driven to Santa Barbara. Now Santa Maria cases are booked locally and heard at the Miller courthouse on East Cook Street, in the middle of town.

Orcutt, just south of the city, is unincorporated and is patrolled by the Sheriff’s Santa Maria station, not Santa Maria police.
