Imperial County bail schedule
Posting bail in El Centro
El Centro is the only city in the county where everything happens in one place. The El Centro Police Department on West Main Street makes the arrest, the county jail at the south end of Applestill Road books it, and the El Centro Criminal Courthouse on Wake Avenue, opened in January 2024, hears it.
The jail is about 3 miles from downtown and the courthouse about 2 miles. Unincorporated areas next to the city, such as Seeley and Heber, are covered by deputies from the Sheriff’s main station instead of city police.
