About the South Los Angeles Station
The South Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station opened to replace the former Lennox Station. It covers the City of Lawndale and unincorporated communities including Lennox, Athens, Del Aire, Wiseburn and El Camino Village.
Lawndale has contracted with the Sheriff’s Department since it became a city in 1959. In 1997 a Sheriff’s service center opened in Lawndale itself, in a refurbished former senior center.
