Santa Clara County bail schedule

Posting bail for a Saratoga arrest

Saratoga contracts with the Sheriff’s Office for police service. In October 2026 the city council voted 4-1 to keep that arrangement rather than switch to the Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department.

Deputies come from the West Valley Division in Cupertino. Unlike Cupertino and Los Altos Hills, whose cases go to Palo Alto, Saratoga is in the court’s San Jose group: arrests are booked at the Main Jail, about 9 miles away, and the case is heard at the Hall of Justice next door.

Saratoga is a quiet hillside city, home to Hakone Gardens and Villa Montalvo. The West Valley Division office that serves it is about 2 miles north in Cupertino; the Hall of Justice, where its cases are heard, is about 9 miles away.
