About the Azusa Police Department
In the 1920s the Azusa police station was inside City Hall on Alameda Avenue. By 1935 the small force had radios in its patrol cars, with calls sent out by the Pomona Police Department.
The department moved to 725 N. Alameda Ave. in 1970. It serves the city of Azusa, at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains, and runs its own jail there.
